Color and More Color

I made two cards tonight based on two different color challenges. Both include flowers, but each has a completely different look and feel.

This one is for Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge. The colors to include were teal, celery/moss, brown, and white. I combined the color challenge with the sketch from this week's clean and simple stamping challenge on SCS.

I used mostly pigment inks here for a rich look against the white background. The images are from Papertrey Ink's Beyond Basic Borders set. I stamped on a white background, then added a simple teal flower, embellished with a button, to complete the design.

Materials Used:
Beyond Basic Borders stamp set, white button (Papertrey Ink); Certainly Celery and Close to Cocoa Craft inks, Taken with Teal Classic ink, Taken with Teal and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); teal flower (Prima); twine (Walmart)

This card is for today's SCS color challenge--Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and Chocolate Chip. I used images from Unity's March Kit of the Month. The silhouette flowers are stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft ink on a Pink Pirouette circle. The image panel was double matted before layering it on the card.

I used a piece of designer paper from the SU! Candy Lane paper pack for the panel on the bottom of the card, bordered by a piece of elegant Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon. I "framed" the image panel with the sentiment by curving the stamp on my acrylic block, then inking it with cream pigment ink.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card using Unity's March KOTM . . .

Materials Used:
March Kit of the Month (Unity Stamp Co.); Chocolate Chip Craft ink, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Candy Lane designer series paper, Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon (Stampin' Up!); Vintage Cream Palette ink (Papertrey Ink); circle and scalloped circle dies (Nestabilities); pink Bella dots (Stamping Bella)
