Blogger Challenge: Week 95
This week’s blogger challenge was a color challenge that included Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, Sahara Sand and neutrals. This felt like a masculine color combination to me, so I tried to go for something clean, simple, and masculine here.
I used the tree image from Branch Out for the image panel. The tree is stamped on a Sahara Sand panel in Chocolate Chip Craft ink with Sage Shadow Craft and Always Artichoke Classic ink leaves. I sponged some Sahara Sand ink around the edges of the panel, too.
I kept the layout pretty simple. The tree is layered on an Always Artichoke panel with distressed edges, then attached to the cardfront with dimensionals. I added a kraft corduroy button with twine threaded through the buttonholes to the right of the image panel. These buttons are such a nice embellishment! The “thinking of you” sentiment from Trendy Trees is stamped in craft ink on the bottom right corner of the card base.
For more inspiration with this color combination, you can visit the rest of the challenge players. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.
Materials Used (all from Stampin’ Up!):
Branch Out and Trendy Trees stamp sets, Chocolate Chip and Mellow Moss Craft inks, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand Classic inks, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, and Sahara Sand cardstock, Chocolate Chip 5/8” grosgrain ribbon, mat pack and paper piercing tool, kraft corduroy button, twine, sponge, dimensionals
