Earth Toned Thanks
Here's my quick card for one of today's Unity Hip Hop challenges. The challenge was to use the colors of the globe (greens, blues, and neutrals) on your card.
I used one of my all-time favorite Unity sets for this one, Giggle Grove. I paper pieced the tree using a scrap from SU!'s retired Petals & Paisleys paper pack. The bird is paper pieced using the reverse side of the paper I used for the tree. The vibrant blues and greens in the paper were perfect for the challenge. I added a tiny green twinkle from Taylored Expressions for the eye--so cute! I layered the cutout pieces on the kraft card base using dimensionals.
I tied a teal satin ribbon across the top of the card, coordinating with the colors in the tree. The sentiment, from the Thank You Words set, is stamped in turquoise pigment ink. I added a trio of green rhinestones to finish off the card.
Materials Used:
Giggle Grove and Thank You Words kits (Unity Stamp Co.); Rich Cocoa ink (Memento); Tempting Turquoise Craft ink, Kraft cardstock, Petals & Paisleys designer series paper, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); teal satin ribbon (Michaels); green self-adhesive rhinestones (Darice); light green tiny twinkle (Taylored Expressions)
