Kitchen Sink Monday: Rolodex

It's time for another Kitchen Sink Stamps Crew Challenge. This week's hostess is Maria. She's challenged us to alter rolodex cards.

I kept mine pretty simple--and more "scrappy" than stamped-- since there's a small space to work with (even smaller than ATC's!). I didn't have any "real" rolodex cards, so I simply cut white cardstock to rolodex card size (I used 1 3/4" by 3 1/4" paper) to work with. I made the notches to file the cards by using a 1/4" square punch, then snipping out a tiny bit of the bottom of the square so it could be added to the file.

I layered a slightly smaller solid cardstock rectangle over the white base. I used the letters from 1/2 Pint Alphabet Buddy to stamp my friends' names on the cardstock in darker ink the same shade as the paper.

For embellishment, I used layered circle punches and a mix of solid and patterned papers to create a flower. I finished the flower by adding a cream button to the center. I figured that I could put contact info on the back since I didn't have much space on the front after I had finished with stamping and embellishing.
