Wendy's sketch called for a woven panel, but I was kind of pressed for time when I was making this card, so I took a shortcut here. I used my ScorPal to make a grid pattern on the Melon Berry cardstock again. I pulled out my sewing machine and stitched the gridded panel to a Riding Hood Red one. I arranged a pair of layered flowers, including one cut from a piece of polka dotted Riding Hood Red paper at the corner of the panel.
I tied a coordinating red grosgrain ribbon around a kraft card base, then secured the panel over the ribbon. I used a cream ink to stamp the sentiment under the panel. It didn't stand out enough to me, so I sprinkled on some embossing powder and heat embossed it. Clean, simple, and pretty, too.
Materials Used:Mega Mixed Messages stamp set, Vintage Cream Palette ink, Melon Berry cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Riding Hood Red and Kraft cardstock, Riding Hood Red Patterns designer series paper, Flower Fusion Too felt flowers, 1/4" circle punch, silver brads, Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain ribbon, dimensional (Stampin' Up!); flower punch (Marvy Uchida); Scor-Pal; sewing machine
