The recycled item I used on my project is some cardboard/chipboard that would have otherwise been thrown away (or, more likely, put out with my newspapers for recycling). I used it to make a chipboard star for the focal point on my card. I found a star shape that I liked, then traced it on to my cardboard and carefully cut it out. I covered it with gold ink, then embossed it with clear embossing powder. Not only did it make the star shimmery, it solved the problem of the ink rubbing off everywhere—LOL!
I found some patterned paper featuring a gold-ish star for the panel on my cardfront. I chose the colors for the rest of my card to coordinate with the paper. I used the “rock on” sentiment block from the Rockstar set to make the sentiment panel. It’s easy to line up and stamp the words repeatedly using the clear stamps! It’s layered on a piece of sparkly gold paper for a little pop. I added a trio of gold star brads to finish off the card.
We hope you'll join us and play along with this challenge. Upload your creations using something recycled or reused to the Paper Craft Planet gallery using the keyword TTCED. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has done with the challenge. Here’s where to find them:
