2 Sketches Hits the Great Outdoors

Starving Artistamps is sponsoring this week’s sketch challenge at 2 Sketches 4 You. I used images from the new-to-me DoodleFactory Great Outdoors set and the matching Outdoors sentiment set for this cute card based on the sketch.

I stamped the bicycle image on a cardstock circle and colored the image with Copic markers. I used a sponge and a cloud template to add the sky and a stipple brush to add the grass, then added a colored, cut out image of Sneeq using dimensionals to complete the scene.

I used a gray card base to match Sneeq's fur. The base is covered with a Swiss Dot embossed panel. I used a softer gray cardstock for the panel that I stamped the “I wheelie love you” sentiment on, tucked under the scene panel. The final touch was a soft pink felt heart to match the sentiment.

You can see what the other Starving Artistamps DT members have done with this sketch over at the Starving Artistamps gallery blog.

Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Great Outdoors stamp set and Outdoors sentiments (Starving Artistamps); white Pure Luxury cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Real Red, Cool Caribbean, and Certainly Celery Classic inks, Real Red, Pink Pirouette, and Basic Gray cardstock, sponge, stipple brush, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); Smokey Shadow cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle dies (Nestabilities); Swiss Dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug); felt heart (American Crafts)
