3D Challenge: It's in the Bag

*****If you're here for the Clear & Simple Stamps Take the Challenge, scroll down.*****

This week, the 3D challenge at Paper Craft Planet is being sponsored by Kelleigh Ratzlaff from The Digi Chick. Kelleigh has generously offered a $20 gift card to her store for the best bag! In addition, the winner will also get a $5 gift card that can be used for ANYTHING at the Digi Chick store!

These templates are AWESOME and so easy! You just print the design on to your patterned paper, cut, score and glue! Presto, you look like Martha Stewart in minutes!

If you want to get fancy, you can use digital papers and print it that way, then you always have an instant, printable, bag on hand!

I tried the "fancy" way and printed my template on matte photo paper using a digital paper freebie I downloaded from the Digichick, the Lottie Dottie addon freebie pack by Pamela Donnis. I figured out how to clip my paper to fit the template using my Photoshop Elements program so it printed out all ready to cut and assemble.
I started with this bag first. I embellished the top flap by attaching a pair of coordinating ribbons across it. I added a sparkly acetate flowers with a large button on one side of the flap.

I made this one thinking I could use it for packaging a little gift for a child. I used a piece of solid turquoise cardstock with a row of faux stitching and coordinating twill across the top flap. I turned to my glittery acetate pieces again, this time using an a sparkly green frog on the front of the bag. I set the frog on a lily pad cut from a cardstock scrap and embellished with a bright red flower. I haven’t decided what will go in the boxes yet—any suggestions?

OK, so take the challenge -- create a small gift bag, and upload it to Paper Craft Planet. Use the tag 3d11. You do NOT have to use one of Kelleigh's templates to win -- but they are so easy and fun, we know that you'll want one :) We'll pull it into the album and pull a winner next Tuesday. I can't wait to see what you make!
