Clear and Simple Stamps Blog Hop for the Cure
Welcome to the Clear & Simple Stamps Blog Hop for the Cure! If this is your first stop, please go to the Clear & Simple Stamps blog and start your hop from the beginning—you don’t want to miss a thing! If you’ve hopped over to my blog from Kim’s, then you’re in the right spot.
Let’s start off with some info about prizes! Here’s the info on what you need to do to win your own set of 3 limited edition (and not available for purchase) For the Cure stamp sets. CSS has added a free For the Cure digi paper download to the site (find it here). Use the papers to make your own ATC, tag, or card candy. You can incorporate stamps into your projects, but the main focus should be on the creative use of these fun papers. Come back to my blog when you’re finished and leave a link to your project. I’ll select a winner late Sunday evening.
And, for another chance to win, upload your creations to your Splitcoaststampers or Paper Craft Planet gallery by 9:00 PM EST Sunday (tomorrow) using the tag CSSFTC09. CSS will select one entry to win the new Awareness Darling stamp set and a surprise pack of embellishments, too.
Now, on to the eye candy . . . I am so excited to share these special creations with you today featuring the limited edition sets and the new Awareness Darling set.
Here’s a card I made using the Awareness Darling set. I stamped the Darling image on white cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers. The awareness ribbon on her shirt is highlighted with some sparkly Stickles for fun. I stamped the “I support you” sentiment so that it curved around the Darling’s shoulder.
The stamped image is matted on a pair of pink mats. I attached a coordinating ribbon tab as a simple embellishment. The image is attached to a pink patterned panel on the cardbase. I added the awareness ribbon, stamped, of course, in pink at the bottom of the image panel.
Materials Used:
Awareness Darling stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); white Pure Luxury cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Regal Rose Craft ink, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White cardstock, Pink Pirouette Patterns designer series paper, Regal Rose 5/8” grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); 1 3/8” and 1 ½” circle punches (EK Success); Cotton Candy Stickles (Ranger)
I also have a pair of projects to share using the special, limited edition sets you can win today.
This is a cute tag for a treat bag filled with lots of Hugs.
I stamped the awareness ribbon image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is stamped alongside the image in Regal Rose ink. I layered the tag image on a pair of pink mats. Each scallop is dotted with just a bit of Pink Petal Liquid Pearls. I added a pink grosgrain ribbon to use to tie the tag on to the bag.
Materials Used:
Limited Edition Ribbon stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, and Whisper White cardstock, Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); circle dies (Nestabilities); scallop circle punch (Marvy Uchida); Petal Pink Liquid Pearls (Ranger); pink brad (Making Memories); pink organza drawstring bag; Hershey's Hugs
Here’s a waterfall card I made using the individual sentiments in the For the Cure set. I thought this would be a great way to incorporate and highlight these important words. Each word is stamped on a light pink square in rose ink, then attached to the waterfall mechanism.
When pulled, it reveals the awareness ribbon inside. I attached a small grosgrain ribbon tab to the waterfall piece to show that it was interactive. I kept all of the elements in the card to shades of pink in keeping with the awareness theme.
Materials Used:
Limited Edition For the Cure stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Regal Rose Classic ink, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose cardstock, 1 ¼” square punch (Stampin’ Up!); patterned paper (GCD Studios); pink brads (Making Memories)
Your next stop on the CSS Blog Hop will be our June guest designer, Sue. Enjoy!
