Home Sweet Home

****If you're here for the Paper Craft Planet 3d Challenge, scroll down to the post below.****

Here’s my card for this month’s Unity Stamp Co. guest designer challenge. The challenge was to use either the April or May Kit of the Month to make a monochromatic card. I used three images from my May kit to make this pretty card in shades of pink and rose.

I started with the house image. It’s done with a combination of coloring and paper piecing. The hearts are cut out and attached with a dimensional and embellished with some Stickles, too. I layered the house on a pair of pink circle mats, then attached it to the light pink panel on the cardfront with dimensionals. I added a button-embellished bow to the panel with a pop-up glue dot.

I stamped two of the sentiment stamps in the lower right corner of the pink panel. The “home” sentiment is colored with Copic markers. Again, I cut out the heart image and attached it with a dimensional. If you “read” the card, it says “home sweet home.”

Materials Used:
May Kit of the Month (Unity Stamp Co.); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); Snow White Choice Cardstock (Taylored Expressions); markers (Copic); Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, and Rose Red cardstock, Raspberry Fizz and Candy Lane designer series papers, mat pack and paper piercing tool, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); circle and scalloped circle dies (Nestabilities); button, twine (Papertrey Ink); ribbon (Michaels); Cotton Candy Stickles (Ranger)
