More Monochromatic

This week’s Unity Addicts challenge comes from Maggie. She challenged us to create a monochromatic card with our Unity goodies. It's funny that this was Maggie's challenge idea since it's the same as the one for this month's Unity guest designer contest. I guess great minds think alike . . .

I used the Full of Life kit for my card, paired with papers from SEI’s Dill Blossom line. I got the monochromatic look by pairing these papers with Papertrey Ink’s Aqua Mist and SU!’s Sage Shadow.

The flower image is stamped in Sage Shadow Craft ink, then covered with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat embossed for a pretty shimmer. I stamped the “feel the joy” sentiment repeatedly alongside the image in Sage Shadow Classic ink. I layered the stamped panel, the patterned paper, and the textured paper panel on an Aqua Mist cardstock along with simple embellishments to complete the card.

For more monochromatic inspiration, you can visit the rest of the Unity Addicts. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.

Materials Used:
Feel the Joy kit (Unity Stamp Co.); Sage Shadow Classic ink, Sage Shadow Craft ink, Iridescent Ice embossing powder (Stampin’ Up!); Aqua Mist cardstock, Aqua Mist satin ribbon (Papertrey Ink); patterned and textured papers (SEI-Dill Blossom line); metallic Dew Drops (Robin’s Nest)
