Chilling Out for Bellarific Friday
Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday sketch from Stamping Bella. Since I was working on a wintery card for another challenge, I kept with the cold weather theme for this one, too.
I used my Glideabella image (love this one!) for the large image panel. She’s colored with Copics and glittered up just a bit with a clear Stardust pen. I also added some white Fun Flock to her jacket for a faux fur look. I paired her with the “chill out” sentiment to complete the cool theme.
The patterned papers are from a DCWV winter glitter stack. I really like the combination of the soft blue and white with just a bit of sparkle—and they’re a nice match for the Baja Breeze card base. I divided the two patterns with a strip of solid sparkly silver paper. The only embellishment I added was a glittery snowflake with a matching rhinestone center. There’s a lot of sparkle going on here and I didn’t want to go overboard—LOL!
Materials Used:
Glideabella image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); White Pure Luxury cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Baja Breeze Classic ink, Baja Breeze cardstock, 1 3/8” circle punch (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (DCWV’s Glittered Winter Mat Stack); silver paper (Target); white Fun Flock (Stampendous); clear Stardust pen, silver gel pen (Sakura); self-adhesive rhinestone (Darice); glitter snowflake (Me & My Big Ideas); 1 ½” circle punch (EK Success)
