Take the Challenge--Sizzle and Pop

It’s time for another Take the Challenge with Clear & Simple Stamps. The theme for this month’s challenge is “Sizzle & Pop.” For some sizzle, we were challenged to use bold, bright colors like red, orange, and yellow, and for pop, we were to include one “popped up” element.

Here’s my sizzling creation, featuring images from the Summer Sand set that will be released on July 15. I stamped the beach ball image from the set on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers using the warm colors from the challenge. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I added some glittery highlights with a clear Stardust pen. I cut the image out and used a dimensional to layer it on to a pair of circle-shaped mats.

I kept my card clean and simple. I did some faux stitching along the left side of the dotted patterned paper panel on the left side of the card, then attached the stamped image. I stamped the “having a ball” sentiment along the bottom right side of the corner in black ink to complete the card.
