Unity Addicts Challenge: Sparkling Smile
Here's my card for this week's Unity Addicts challenge. Kim gave us a fun inspiration piece to work from and I based my cards on the circles and colors in the picture. I probably wouldn't have combined these colors on my own, but I really like how they look together.
I used images from the Everyday Adorable kit on my card. The flower image (with lots of circles) is stamped in pink pigment ink on a soft gray panel. After letting the image dry (it's hard to be patient!), I dotted the center of each circle with glue and added some Dazzling Diamonds for a pretty shimmer.
The flower panel is layered over a circle that was stamped with the Distressed Dots background (also in pigment ink, also needing wait time to dry . . .). I wrapped a matching piece of pink ribbon around the cardfront before adding the flower panel. The "smile" sentiment is stamped in darker pink pigment ink and attached to the card with a dimensional. I put a trio of pale green dot embellishments in the upper right corner to fill in the empty space and finish the card.
Materials Used:
Everyday Adorable kit and Distressed Dots (Unity Stamp Co.); Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery Craft ink, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery cardstock, 1 3/8" circle punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); Soft Stone cardstock (Papertrey Ink); mint green dots (Stamping Bella); 1 1/2" circle punch (EK Success)
