These images are so much fun to play with! I started with some clean and simple cards first.
This one features the pretty tabletop lamp along with the table. I stamped the lamp first, masked it, then stamped the table. The images are colored with Copic markers. I added a subtle yellow glow around the lamp. The “You brighten my day!” sentiment was the perfect companion to my image.
Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Classic Décor and sentiments set (Starving Artistamps); Snow White Choice Cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Brocade Blue Classic ink, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, and Real Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls (Ranger)
I got a little fancier on this one, featuring the smaller chandelier image. I stamped the chandelier image first, then added Malbec, the monkey from the DoodleFactory Valentine Remix set. Vines aren’t the only thing that monkeys can swing from, right? He’s stamped on a separate piece of paper and added to the scene with dimensionals.
The chandelier is embellished with some clear and yellow glitter for a fun sparkle and glow.
Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Valentine Remix set, Classic Décor and sentiments set (Starving Artistamps); Snow White Choice Cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Night of Navy Classic ink, Night of Navy and Brocade Blue cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); Yellow Stickles (Ranger)
These images work perfectly together to create fun scenes, too. This one features the chaise lounge and someone getting comfy on it (I imagine this scene plays out daily in my own home with Cosmo the crazy dog and my couch!). I paper pieced the chaise image using Basic Grey designer paper. I added the pillows and Ambrose, lazing on top of it all. The floor is done using the faux woodgrain technique. The sentiment is stamped on an oval panel with a ribbon embellishment to look like one of those plaques you see hanging up in people’s homes.
Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Classic Décor and sentiments set (Starving Artistamps); white Pure Luxury cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Blue Bayou, Bordering Blue, and Soft Sky Classic inks, White Craft ink, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou cardstock, wide oval punch, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); white satin ribbon (?)
This card combines the chair and pedestal table images. I paper pieced the chair and the vase that's on top of the table using the same patterned paper. The flowers in the vase are colored with Copic markers and glittered up just a little, then attached to the scene with a dimensional. I used another piece of patterned paper from the same collection to make the wallpaper behind the scene.
Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Classic Décor and sentiments set (Starving Artistamps); white Pure Luxury cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Tempting Turquoise Classic ink, Tempting Turquoise and Gable Green cardstock, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” circle punches, Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); patterned paper (DCWV’s Citrus Mat Pack)
I realized that all of my cards were in shades of blue, so for my final card, I mixed it up a little by using a pink/red and green combo. The chair is paper pieced again and set against a patterned paper background. I added the table next to it, along with the tea pot and tea cup. The "come for tea" sentiment is embellished with a piece of knotted ribbon.
