New Year's Cheer

Here’s one more swap created for this week’s SU! convention. I love the images in the Cheers to You set that was introduced in the catalog that was released at last year's convention and wanted to be sure to show it off. I paired it with one of the sentiments from the new Teeny Tiny Wishes set to create a fun New Year’s card.

I used the pair of champagne glasses as the focal image. The glasses are stamped in black ink and colored with some Crushed Curry reinker and an aquapainter. I added a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds for some bubbly sparkle, too. I was pleased to find out that the glasses fit perfectly inside the wide oval punch.

The colors for the card came from the colors in the new Thoroughly Modern designer paper pack. I used a Bermuda Bay card base, accented with a Rose Red eyelet border punched panel. A strip of striped Thoroughly Modern designer paper adds some more color. The Sahara Sand panel is embossed with one of the new Texturz plates. I added the sentiment on a coordinating word window punched piece.

Materials Used (all from Stampin’ Up!):
Cheers to You and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Basic Black Classic ink, Crushed Curry reinker, Bahama Bay, Rose Red, Sahara Sand, and Whisper White cardstock, Thoroughly Modern designer series paper, wide oval punch, word window punch, eyelet
