Blogger Challenge: Week 115
This week’s blogger challenge is to make baby themed cards. I turned to my DoodleFactory Oh Baby! stamp set from Starving Artistamps for this one.
I stamped the crawling baby Izzy image on a white cardstock panel and colored her with Copic markers. I used some retired SU! designer paper and my new Martha Stewart loop punches to make a blanket of sorts. It took a little trial and error on scraps of paper to figure out how to get the corner and border punches to work together, but once I finally figured it out, I really liked the look I got. I added a solid ribbon strip across the top of the patterned panel, kind of like the satin binding on some baby blankets (brings back memories of my own favorite yellow blanket . . .). The “cutie patootie” sentiment is stamped in coordinating rose ink directly on the striped panel to finish the card.
For more baby card ideas, you can visit the rest of the challenge players. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right. And, don't forget to check the Starving Artistamps blog here to find out how to win the newest DoodleFactory set for yourself.
Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Oh Baby and Sentiments Baby stamp sets (Starving Artistamps); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); markers (Copic); Regal Rose Classic ink, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink cardstock, Sweet Always designer series paper, Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); circle dies (Nestabilities); Berry Sorbet button, twine (Papertrey Ink); loop border punch, loop corner punch (Martha Stewart); silver gel pen (Signo)
