Fall Polka Dot Paradise Project

***Scroll down to see my Chicken Girl Designs project posted earlier today.***

Here’s my card for the latest challenge at Embellish Magazine, called Polka Dot Paradise. The challenge was to use cream, light orange, orange, and burgundy along with polka dots. These colors had a fall feel to me, so I came up with a card featuring a leaf as the focal image.

The leaf is die cut using a Nestabilities die. I stamped a polka dot pattern over the leaf in cream ink using one of the polka dot stamps from Papertrey Ink’s Polka Dot Basics set. I spritzed some bronze Glimmer Mist over the leaf for a shimmery look—so pretty IRL!

I added some more polka dots to the design on the orange panel that the leaf is layered on. This time, I stamped the open dots tone on tone on an orange panel. I added a sentiment from the Vintage Picnic Additions set, stamped in Scarlet Jewel ink on a cream panel and accented with a wooden button.

Materials Used:
Polka Dot Basics and Vintage Picnic Additions stamp sets, Orange Zest, Scarlet Jewel, and Vintage Cream inks, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Scarlet Jewel, and Vintage Cream cardstock, wooden button, twine (Papertrey Ink); maple leaf and circle dies (Nestabilities); scallop edge punch, mat pack and paper piercing tool, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); Bronze Glimmer Mist
