For my second project, I used a clear plastic 6" ruler. I stamped the "you measure up in my book" sentiment from the same 3 Step School Days set on the ruler using Palette ink. Isn't this the perfect saying for a bookmark? I added some red gingham ribbon to the hole already punched at the top of the ribbon to complete the project.
We'd love it if you'd play along with us in this month's challenge. For complete details and to enter your project in the challenge, visit the Kitchen Sink Stamps blog.

Kitchen Sink Monday: School Supply Challenge
It's time for another Kitchen Sink Stamps Crew Challenge! This month's challenge comes from Makiko. She's challenged us to use a school supply in our project--either on the project or in an altered form.
I came up with two fun ideas for the challenge, First, I turned to one of the large paper clips I have and altered the paper clip into a bookmark.
Keeping with the challenge's school theme, I stamped the apple image from the 3 Step School Days set in shades of red on a white circle. I matted it on a slightly larger red circle, then layered the apple on a black scalloped circle.
I placed the paper clip between the scalloped circle and another plain scalloped circle. Some foam tape is between the two circles to attach them securely to the clip. A piece of red gingham ribbon is knotted just below the apple image.
Materials Used (clip):
3 Step School Days stamp set (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Real Red, and Cranberry Crisp Classic inks, Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); circle and scalloped circle dies (Nestabilities); circle punch (Marvy Uchida); red gingham ribbon (Offray); large paper clip
Materials Used (ruler):
3 Step School Days stamp set (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Pure Poppy Palette ink (Papertrey Ink); red gingham ribbon (Offray); clear plastic ruler (Staples)
