Mega Monster Hugs

Here's a monster mosaic based on this week's sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions. I arranged three of the monster images from the Chicken Girl Designs Silly Monsters set from i {heart} papers in the grid-like layout for this fun 5 1/2"square card.

The monsters are colored with Copic markers, then punched out with a 1 3/8" square punch. Each monster has some sparkly embellishment, courtesy of Stickles and Spica glitter pens.
I layered each monster on a slightly larger solid cardstock square, then on a piece of striped October Afternoon designer paper. The stripes in the pattern helped me to keep the pieces lined up pretty straight, which is usually somewhat of a challenge for me--LOL!

I stamped the "monster hugs" sentiment from the set in red ink for the center panel. I placed it on layered circles and added a red twill tab before attaching it to the card with dimensionals.

Materials Used:

other: white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Real Red Classic ink, Real Red and Bahama Bay cardstock, 1 3/8" square punch, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); 1 1/2" circle punch (EK Success)
