I stamped a stacked pair of robots for my image panel. The robots are colored with Copic markers and embellished with just a bit of glitter from some Spica glitter pens. I added the “it’s your birthday” sentiment alongside the panel in bold red ink and layered the panel on matching red cardstock.
I used some paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Cogsmo line for the panel along the right side of the card. These papers are a perfect match for this set’s robot images. The Spots & Dots embossing folder coordinated nicely with the patterned paper. To keep the look of the card more masculine, instead of using regular ribbon I knotted some blue twill around the card.
The “gear up for some fun” sentiment is stamped on a small circle and attached to the card using dimensionals. I wanted to add some metal, gear-like embellishments, but I decided that would make the card too busy, so I left it as is.
Materials Used:
Get in Gear stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers, Lipstick and Clear Spica glitter pens (Copic); Riding Hood Red Classic ink, Riding Hood Red, Soft Sky, and Blue Bayou cardstock, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” circle punches, dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (Cosmo Cricket-Cogsmo line); Spots & Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug); blue twill tape (Martha Stewart)
I made this card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. Clear & Simple Stamps is sponsoring the challenge this week and offering a great prize, so be sure to check out the challenge.
