Girls Night Out with CPS

Clear & Simple Stamps is sponsoring this week’s sketch at Card Positioning Systems. Here’s my take on this week’s sketch, using CSS stamps, of course!

I used the martini glass image from Martini Darling along with the spotlighting technique for my image panel. The martini glass is stamped three times. I highlighted the top part of the glass in the image on the right, using a Scarlet Jewel circle to make the colored piece pop. The “girls night out” sentiment is stamped beneath the glasses in Scarlet Jewel ink.

I used some bold patterned paper from Papertrey Ink’s holiday collection to cover most of the cardfront. A strip with large embossed scallops runs the length of the cardfront. A bright pink ribbon strip with a button-embellished bow is attached along the straight edge of the scalloped strip for a girly detail that's perfect for a girl's night out invite.

Materials Used:
Martini Darling stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Scarlet Jewel Classic ink, Scarlet Jewel and Hibiscus Burst cardstock, Holiday Cheer designer paper, Raspberry Fizz grosgrain ribbon, Scarlet Jewel button, twine (Papertrey Ink); Embossed Curve punch, ¾” and 7/8” circle punches (EK Success)

  1. Great card, I'm loving that big punch by EK and the spotlighting you did on the martini is perfect with this card.
