Spooky Sweet Trick-or-Treat Basket
It’s the first of the month and time for a new template reveal from Clear & Simple Stamps. Each month, CSS shares a brand new, free template on its website. For this month, Sue has created a fun trick-or-treat basket template, perfect for Halloween treats or party favors. You can find the template here.
Before I get to my sample using the template, I want to fill you in on the special deals going on this month at CSS. First, the Stamp of the Month is Spooky Sweets, available now. It’s perfect for making all kinds of spooky and sweet treats to give away this month. You can use the code DTBlog1009 for a $1 discount on this fun set. And, October’s featured Copic marker bundle is the Copic Trio Set: Yellow Red 1 (YR00, YR04, YR07). You can combine the Copic Marker Bundle with the SOTM for the bargain price of $26 - that's a $15 stamp set and $15 Copic Marker Trio set combined at a $4 reduction in price - you won't find a better bundle anywhere! (HINT HINT...it will will be $25 if using the DTBlog $1 Discount too)
Now, here’s my take on this month’s template. I transformed my trick-or-treat basket into a not-too-spooky ghost. I used shimmery white cardstock for the basket for a fun look. The face is made using pieces of ovals that were punched out from black cardstock. I added some wiggly eyes, too.
I tied a strip of black dotted organdy ribbon around the basket’s top. The tag uses a sentiment from this month’s Stamp of the Month, Spooky Sweets. I thought this would make a fun Halloween hostess gift or table centerpiece. The basket’s the perfect size to hold a candle or a candy apple.
