Take the Challenge: Let's Get Punchy
It’s time for another Take the Challenge with Clear & Simple Stamps. The theme for this month’s challenge is “Getting Punchy.” I pulled out some of my paper punches and came up with this fall card with a sneak peek from the Autumn Collection releasing later this month.
I used the negative space created by punching out the large maple leaf shape from a mustard colored circle as the focal point on my card. The rust panel that shows through the leaf is stamped with the plaid image from the Dots & Lines set.
I added a faux suede panel to the cardfront, created by running my fingernail along the edge of a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock to roughen up the fibers enough that I could separate the layers of the paper. When the paper is peeled apart, it has this cool textured look. I added a rust scalloped strip along the bottom of the faux suede panel and dotted each scallop with some Gold Pearl Liquid Pearls.
The “forever grateful” sentiment from the new Autumn set (available October 15) is stamped above the faux suede panel in rust ink.

Love this card and how you used the punch with the patterned paper underneath the darker paper. Awesome!
