Fall Fun with the Unity Addicts

This week’s Unity Addicts challenge has a fall theme—colors, images, anything fall’s fair game. I went with a non-fall image in a decidedly fall color scheme for my card.

I really liked the look of the card I did on Sunday, so I used the same technique for my main image—reverse masking two orange squares on a cream base, then stamping the solid image over the squares. I used one of the images from Unity’s Gratitude=Joy kit here, stamped in brown ink. This kit was one of my early Unity purchases and I still love the collection of images (and it’s on sale right now at i {heart} papers, along with a bunch of other Unity goodies).

I picked a piece of patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Nutmeg mini deck to cover the cardfront. The fall colors and patterns in this line are great! I paired the patterned paper with a melon card base, picking up one of the colors from the pattern. The “gratitude” sentiment was placed to overlap the image panel just a bit. I added a piece of knotted orange corduroy ribbon to the sentiment as a simple accent. Love the texture that even just a small piece of this ribbon adds!
