Peaceful Pines Preview

Here’s a look at another soon-to-be released stamp set from Clear & Simple Stamps. This pretty set is called Peaceful Pines and is great for lots of the seasonal cards and projects that people are beginning to focus on during this time of year. It’s part of the Winter Days collection that will be available on November 15.

I thought I’d try to come up with a holiday card using the set that would be quick and easy to produce in multiples. Here’s what I designed. I stamped the pinecone outline image in brown ink, then filled in the outline with the solid image, stamped off once for contrast. I masked the pinecone using Eclipse tape, then filled in the foliage so it looked like it was behind the pinecone.

The set’s “winter blessings” sentiment is stamped along the bottom of the image panel in ink that matches the foliage. I layered the panel on a brown cardstock mat and added a matching piece of knotted ribbon to the empty upper right hand corner of the panel. And, since a holiday card isn’t complete without some sparkle, I added a dusting of glitter to the pinecone image.

Materials Used:
Peaceful Pines stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Rich Cocoa ink (Memento); Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin’ Up!); Ripe Avocado ink, Ripe Avocado cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
