Take the {Fall Color} Challenge

It’s time for another Take the Challenge with Clear & Simple Stamps. This month’s challenge is a color challenge with a definite fall feel--Summer Sun, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Close to Cocoa.

I used the Woodlands set to create a simple fall scene. The circle tree image is paper pieced and layered with foam tape for dimension. I used Copic markers to make the grass beneath the tree. The set's "happy birthday" sentiment is stamped on a strip of Summer Sun cardstock and accented by a single silver brad. I don't use this shade too often, but in small amounts, it really pops! I used a piece of Chocolate Chip twill to separate the image from the sentiment, then layered them on a Close to Cocoa panel.

I found some BoBunny designer paper that has most of the challenge colors in it to use for the large panel on the cardfront. I liked the contrast of the paper's stripes against the circle pattern of the tree.

Be sure to visit the rest of the CSS DT to see what they’ve come up with for the challenge. Here’s where you can find them:
