TV Time

I made some time this weekend to try out some of the current challenges at StampTV using images from Gina K Designs.

For this one, I combined the current Potluck Friday challenge with this week's sketch from Taylored Expressions. I came up with a clean and simple--and bright-- split panel card.

The divided panel was stamped with two of the solid flower images from the Bold Flowers set before cutting it apart. I went with a monochromatic look here, using Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet inks on a Sweet Blush panel. I used a new pencil eraser dipped in glue to stamp a center for the smaller flowers. While the glue was still wet, I sprinked on some glitter for a bit of sparkle.

I wrapped a matching satin ribbon around the divided panel before attaching it to the card base. For the sentiment, I stamped a solid flower image on a circle punch, then added the "my best bud" across the center. The flower panel is layered on a scalloped circle, then attached to the card with foam tape. Each of the scallops is dotted with a tiny dot of Pink Petal Liquid Pearls for a fun touch. I set the flower panel on a matching Sweet Blush card base, stamped with one of the polka dotted strips from the Ribbon Stripes set.

Materials Used:
Bold Flowers and Ribbon Stripes stamp sets (Gina K Designs); Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet inks, Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet cardstock, Sweet Blush satin ribbon (Papertrey Ink); 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin' Up!); Pink Petal Liquid Pearls (Ranger); foam tape

This one's for the current sketch challenge. At first, I wasn't sure how I was going to tackle this one! I ended up using a trio of patterned papers from My Mind's Eye and ended up with a sort of vintage feeling card, which is definitely out of my norm. I pieced the three papers together on a kraft card base. The papers are all sparkly, which unfortunately didn't show up well in my photo.

I stamped the "warm winter wishes" sentiment from the Warm Winter Wishes stamp set in red ink on a vanilla panel and inked along the edges with some brown ink. I layered it on a kraft panel before putting it on to the card. I played with a few different colors before settling on a trio of red buttons to embellish the top section of the card.

Materials Used:
Warm Winter Wishes stamp set (Gina K Designs); Riding Hood Red and Close to Cocoa Classic inks, Kraft and Very Vanilla cardstock, Kraft taffeta ribbon, sponge (Stampin' Up!); Aqua Mist cardstock, Pure Poppy buttons, twine (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (My Mind's Eye); Snowflake border punch (EK Success)
