Unity Addicts Challenge: Shape Up!

The Unity Addicts weekly challenge is back! Here’s my card for this week’s challenge to make some kind of shaped card. I went with a fun bib-shaped card, perfect for giving along with a baby gift.

I used a pale yellow scalloped circle as a base. The paper was folded in half, then cut with a Nestabilities die so that the two circles were still attached at the top. I added a light blue layer over the yellow base. The “little one” sentiment from Unity's Wild & Crazy Bunch kit is stamped on the blue layer in darker blue ink. I paper pieced the cute giraffe image from the same set using a scrap of yellow striped paper for interest.

I used a 1 ½” circle punch to cut a semi-circle notch from the top of the bib. A matching light blue twill ribbon loop with the ends slid between the blue and yellow layers finishes off the bib. So cute, and easy, too!

Materials Used:
Wild & Crazy Bunch kit (Unity Stamp Co.); Brocade Blue Classic ink, Bashful Blue and Barely Banana cardstock, So Saffron Prints Series designer paper, mat pack and paper piercing tool (Stampin’ Up!); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); Spring Rain twill (Papertrey Ink); circle and scalloped circle die (Nestabilities); 1 ½” circle punch (EK Success)
