Busting Out Blooming Button Bits

I've had some new goodies from Papertrey Ink for over a week now, but haven't tried them out until tonight. Here's a card using the new Blooming Button Bits for today's SCS sketch challenge.

I stamped the branch image in Ripe Avocado ink on a Spring Moss panel. The flower spots are filled in with a trio of Raspberry Fizz buttons with some cream twine knotted through them. I stamped the sentiment along the bottom of the panel in the new formula Raspberry Fizz ink. Love those new inks! They stamp a nice, solid image and look great on colored cardstocks, too.

Slanted panels like the ones in this sketch are usually hard for me to cut so that they end up matching up with each other. For this card, I cut two 4" by 5 1/4" panels of patterned paper and stacked them one on top of the other. Then I cut them at the same time so that I had two pieces that fit together perfectly. I covered the seam between them with a piece of bold Raspberry Fizz ribbon, then layered the panels on a Raspberry Fizz card base.

Materials Used (all from Papertrey Ink):
Blooming Button Bits stamp set, Ripe Avocado and Raspberry Fizz inks, Raspberry Fizz and Spring Moss cardstock, Bitty Dot Basics designer paper, Raspberry Fizz grosgrain ribbon, Raspberry Fizz buttons, twine

  1. My fav colour combos are pink and green so of course I'm going to love this one! Love the angle of cs on the background and the buttons really make it pop. Love it.
