Crazy 4 High Flying Fun
I have time for just a quick post before the University of Wisconsin bowl game gets underway (Go Badgers!), so here goes . . . I made this card for this week's sketch challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges. I used images from the Oh Boy set from Clear & Simple Stamps. I don't know what it is about them, but I just love the images in this set!
I paired the paper airplane image with some paper airplane patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket's The Boyfriend line. I had to trim the triangle down a few times to get it to fit, but otherwise it was pretty easy to arrange on the Spring Moss card base.
The plane image was stamped twice--once on the Aqua Mist panel and once on a scrap of white cardstock. I cut out the white image and attached it to the aqua panel with foam tape. The little puffs were stamped under the image and filled in with a white gel pen. I layered the image panel on an Ocean Tides panel with pinked edges for a sort of masculine look and feel. The final piece for the card was the sentiment. It's stamped on a scrap of Aqua Mist cardstock and embellished with a scrap of matching knotted twill tape (rescued from my scrap pile--yay!).
Materials Used:
Oh Boy stamp set (Clear & Simple Stamps); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, and Ocean Tides cardstock, Aqua Mist twill tape (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (Cosmo Cricket--The Boyfriend Line); circle and pinking circle dies (Nestabilities); Inkssentials white gel pen (Ranger); foam tape
