Birthday Boy
I’m still working my way through some new Stamping Bella images I got recently with a gift certificate that I won. This adorable Birthday Boy image captured my eye and is center stage on this card made for the latest Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge.
The birthday boy is colored with Copic markers. I went with a bold red and blue scheme for the image and continued that scheme with the papers I used for the rest of the card. I managed to fit in the “for a special boy” sentiment just under the birthday boy’s feet in Pacific Point ink.
The circle panel behind the birthday boy is embossed with a polka dot pattern. I paired the polka dots with a piece of red, white and blue striped paper I’ve had in my collection for a while. A strip of white ribbon runs across the top of the striped paper for some contrast.
Materials Used:
The Birthday Boy image, sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pacific Point Classic ink, Pacific Point and Real Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (Reminisce-Cruise line/Bon Voyage); circle die (Nestabilities); Polka Dot embossing folder (QuicKutz); white grosgrain ribbon (Michaels)
