Cherry Sweet, Take 2

I really liked the card I made earlier this week using the cute cherry image from Papertrey Ink’s Everyday Button Bits. In fact, I liked it so much that I made a second card using the image and the same combination of papers as I did before, this time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.

The cherry stem image is stamped in artichoke ink on a cream panel. I added a pair of red buttons for the cherries, then stamped the matching sentiment in red, curving it to follow the line of the circular panel. The image is matted on a scallop edged kraft panel with paper piercing on each scallop.

I paired the same DCWV Farmer’s Market designer papers for the rest of the cardfront. This time, I added machine stitching along the bottom edge of the kraft panel that runs across the card. A red scalloped strip, also with paper piercings, is attached to the bottom of the kraft panel.

Materials Used:
Everyday Button Bits stamp set, Pure Poppy buttons, twine (Papertrey Ink); Always Artichoke and Real Red Classic inks, Always Artichoke, Real Red, Kraft, and Very Vanilla cardstock, scallop edge punch (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (DCVW-Farmer’s Market Stack); circle dies (Nestabilities); sewing machine
