Repeat. Sip. Enjoy. And Listen for a While

Here’s my card for this week’s Technostamper sketch challenge. I went for a warm and cozy feeling card courtesy of the Cup of Cocoa stamp set from Clear & Simple Stamps.

The card’s bright color scheme was inspired by the colors of the designer paper I used for the pair of circles on the cardfront. It just so happens that this paper is from a line called Hot Chocolate, so it's especially appropriateto use with the cocoa image--LOL! I used both sides of the patterned paper to showcase the fun patterns and bold colors. The circles are layered on coordinating bright pink cardstock, then arranged on a kraft card base.

The stamp set’s mug image is colored with Copic markers. I corner rounded the edges of the panel before layering it on a mat and adding a coordinating pink ribbon tab.

Instead of accenting the card’s largest circle image with an embellishment like brads or rhinestones, I used a sentiment. I curved the set’s “repeat. sip. enjoy.” sentiment on a clear block and stamped it repeatedly around the outside edge of the circle. It’s not exactly straight, but close enough for me.
