If Life Gives You Limes . . .
The snow has ended and the sun has come out, but it's still very chilly and wintery here today, so I decided to think warm and summery for my card for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this drink themed card here.
I kept the drink theme for my version, but changed the image to one from the Chillax stamp set from Taylored Expressions. I colored the image with Copic markers and added a little Lime Stickles to the lime in the drink. The sentiment fit along the side of the image, helped with by my Stamp-a-ma-jig.
Instead of embossing the panel for the cardfront, I used a glittery striped paper from DCWV's Citrus Mat Stack. I layered the paper on a light green panel before putting it on a turquoise cardfront. The paper strip extending out from under the image panel was replaced with a wide green grosgrain ribbon strip. I added a button-embellished bow to the ribbon for a fun touch.
Materials Used:
Chillax stamp set, white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Tempting Turquoise and Gable Green cardstock (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (DCWV's Citrus Mat Stack); green grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); Spring Moss button, twine (Papertrey Ink); Lime Stickles (Ranger)
