Blogger Challenge: Week 139
This week’s blogger challenge is a sketch challenge, provided by our leader, Lisa. This one has lots of possibilities!
I went for a mostly clean and simple look here. The pretty flower from Verve’s Love's Flower stamp set is my focal image. I stamped the flower twice on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I cut out one of the flowers and layered it on the other image for a multi dimensional flower. A self-adhesive pearl sits at the flower’s center.
I paired the bold red flower with a creamy yellow designer paper panel. I added some yellow and red accents, including a strip of coordinating grosgrain ribbon and a matching fancy scalloped edge panel. I also did a little machine stitching to add some interest. The “merci beaucoup” sentiment from Verve’s Thankful Hearts set is stamped in contrasting red underneath the flower. I love the font combination in this set!
For more ideas using this sketch, you can check out what the rest of the challenge players have created. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.
