All Punked Up Bellarific Friday

Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was a sketch featuring a large oval panel for the focal image. Once I settled on an image, the card came together pretty quickly.

I used the cute All Punked Up and Nowhere to Go stamp as my focal image. She’s colored using Copic markers. I added a warm yellow glow around her after I finished coloring the image.

She’s colored to coordinate with the stripes in the October Afternoon designer paper I used to cover the cardfront. The strip across the center of the card is a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil embossed with a star pattern. I ran a strip of double stitched grosgrain ribbon along the bottom of the foil panel and added a button embellished bow as an accent.

I debated for a while about where to add the sentiment, if any. I ended up stamping the “you rock!” sentiment on a yellow circle and sliding the circle under the left side of the oval panel.

Materials Used:
All Punked Up and Nowhere to Go image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Hawaiian Shores cardstock, Spring Moss button, twine (Papertrey Ink); Green Apple cardstock (Gina K Designs); So Saffron cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (October Afternoon); petite oval dies (Nestabilities); Stars embossing folder (Cuttlebug); turquoise double stitched grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); heavy duty aluminum foil
