Cheers to Bellarific Friday

Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday challenge from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was to go monochromatic. I combined that with this week’s CPS sketch challenge to come up with this card.

I went with a black and gray color scheme with just a hint of silver thrown in. My Winobella is ready for a party in her sparkly dress! The dress is paper pieced using a scrap of silver paper. I colored her just a bit with Copic markers and some silver gel pen and added the coordinating “cheers!” sentiment to the panel.

I layered the image on a gray panel, then on a monochromatic-ish diagonal striped panel. The patterned panel is bordered with a tiny rim of silver paper for a little more sparkle. I ran a strip of elegant black satin ribbon along the right side of the card. A pretty button-embellished bow dresses it up just a little more and is the perfect finishing touch.

Materials Used:
Winobella image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Basic Gray and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); textured silver cardstock (DCWV); silver paper (Target); designer paper (Making Memories); black satin ribbon (Michaels); black button, twine (Papertrey Ink); silver gel pen (Sakura); Platinum Liquid Pearls (Ranger)
