Saturday Springtime Doodles
It's a beautiful springtime Saturday here so that calls for an equally beautiful springtime card. I made this one based on this week's sketch challenge from Paper Craft Planet, hosted by Wendy.
I went pretty simple here using a new set from Papertrey Ink. I arranged several of the images from the Springtime Doodles set at the lower right corner of a kraft panel. The images are stamped in white ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The pencil colors look so nice against the kraft background!
I stamped the "thinking of you" sentiment in red ink on a yellow scrap and accented it with a button. The finished stamped panel is layered on a pale green card base.
If you play along with this week's sketch, be sure to upload your card to the PCP gallery using the keyword sk032010. I think there might even be a prize for one lucky participant this week . . .
Materials Used:
Springtime Doodles stamp set, Pure Poppy and Fresh Snow inks, Lemon Tart cardstock, Lemon Tart button, twine (Papertrey Ink); kraft cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Creme de Menthe cardstock (Gina K Designs); Prismacolor pencils
