A Latte of Spots and Dots

Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge theme was “Spots and Dots.” I went back to what first brought me to Stamping Bella—one of the Bella images—for this challenge.

The layout I used for the card came from Mercy’s latest sketch challenge. I used Lattebella for my focal image—and she just barely fit on the 4 ¼” square layout! She’s got a dotted shirt, so she was perfect for the challenge. I colored her with Copic markers and added a teeny, tiny rhinestone as an accent for the flower in her hair.

For more spots and dots, I machine stitched a dotted paper panel to a dot-embossed kraft panel, then layered my Bella on to the card. A pretty aqua bow, embellished with a wood button, runs around the card. The “thinking of you” sentiment is punched out with my word window punch and added to the card with foam tape.

Materials Used:
Lattebella image, sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock, Tiny Twinkle (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Taken with Teal and Kraft cardstock, word window punch (Stampin’ Up!); Aqua Mist cardstock, Aqua Mist satin ribbon, wood button, twine (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (My Mind’s Eye); oval die (Nestabilities); Polka Dots embossing folder (QuicKutz); sewing machine
