Tree-Mendous Sweet Baby

Here's my card for this week's sketch challenge from the Our Craft Lounge blog. It also fits the celebration theme from this week's Going Grey challenge.

I stamped the sweet giraffe image from the Tree-mendous Love stamp set in black ink on a white panel and colored it with Copic markers. The matching sentiment fit nicely underneath the image. I layered it on a celery scallop edged long rectangle and set it aside while I worked on the cardfront.

I played with a few different patterned paper combinations before settling on these three patterns from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush collection. They're not all traditional "baby" colors, but they worked well together and with the giraffe image, too. I arranged the paper panels on a pale purple panel, then tied a white ruffle edged suede ribbon around the panel. The panel is set on a celery card base that matches the mat underneath the image. The image is attached with foam tape. A little different for a baby card, but I like how it turned out.
