You Rock My Socks
I've been out of town since late Friday afternoon, but I made sure you didn't miss me while I was gone. I'll have some very exciting news from my weekend trip to share with you very soon . . . In the meantime, here's my card for Mercy's latest sketch challenge.
I used Tweeny Tween Rock, one of the new Pure Innocence images from My Favorite Things, as the focal image on my card. Tweeny Tween is colored with Copic markers. I had one of those green bean bags in my own bedroom when I was growing up!
The image is kind of large, so I made some adjustments to the layout so it would work on a standard A2 card instead of a square one. I was going for a sort of retro look and paired the colored image with two patterned papers from K & Company's Greenhouse line. There are a trio of silver brads along the upper right side of the flower patterned paper, but the pattern sort of eats up the small brads. Oh, well . . . I edged the panel with an intricate daisy border strip, courtesy of a Martha Stewart punch. There was just enough room to stamp one of the set's coordinating sentiments along the bottom of the pink card base.
Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Tweeny Teen Rock stamp set (My Favorite Things); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hibiscus Burst cardstock (Papertrey Ink); designer paper (K & Company-Greenhouse line); Daisy border punch (Martha Stewart); green grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); silver brads (Making Memories)
