DoodleFactory Creatures 2 Are Here!

The long-awaited follow up to the DoodleFactory Creatures set from Starving Artistamps has finally arrived! If you love Yapples, Rupert, Frozey, and Mimo, just wait until you see this collection!

First, meet Gunter. He just looks like he’s having a bad day, doesn’t he? Here, I colored him with Copic markers and paired him with with a bold patterned paper. I added a coordinating blue shadow around him with a marker, too.

A strip of bold October Afternoon paper runs across bottom of the card. I matted the image on a coordinating yellow panel, then added a red panel with paper piercing to one corner of the image. A matching red ribbon tab is slipped under the image. I set the sentiment on the card to look like Gunter's stomping his foot right over the words.

Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Creatures 2 and Sentiments Baby sets (Starving Artistamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pacific Point, Real Red, and Crushed Curry cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (October Afternoon-Night Light line); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels)

Now, here’s Sprat. You might remember this guy from the sneak peek I posted last week. Here, he’s the focal point on a pretty clean and simple card. He’s colored with Copic markers and sparkled up with some Diamond Stickles on his belly.

The big, bright sun behind him is cut with a Nestabilities die and embossed with a dot pattern. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I covered it with some Shimmer Spray for a little sparkle. The pieces are attached to a blue panel that’s stitched to the red card base. I had just enough room to stamp the “little devil” sentiment to finish off the card.

Materials Used:
DoodleFactory Creatures 2 set (Starving Artistamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink, Shimmer spray (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue and Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Summer Sunrise cardstock (Papertrey Ink); pinking circle die (Nestabilities); Diamond Stickles (Ranger); Swiss Dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug)

And finally, meet Flob. He’s celebrating a happy event, jumping off of the ground with excitement. I added a pair of balloons from the Simple Birthday set to his hands for a festive feel. The images are colored with Copic markers. I added grass using markers, too, then sponged in the sky with some pale blue ink.

The sentiment comes from the Urban Sentiments set. I stamped it on a scrap of cardstock, then cut the words apart and adhered them to the image panel. A panel of October Afternoon star patterned paper is along the bottom half of the card. I attached the image on an angle over the patterned paper and added a pair of black ribbon tabs as an accent.

  5. The "Momma said..." card is fabulous! What a great combination of image and saying. Each of the cards is great but that one really stands out for me.
