Blogger Challenge: Week 153
This week’s blogger challenge is a color challenge using red, white, and blue. I came up with a clean and simple—and quick—card using the challenge colors.
I stamped a trio of stars from Papertrey Ink’s Let Freedom Ring stamp set on a white panel. The set’s border image is stamped directly underneath the stars in red ink at the center of the panel. The “red, white & true blue friend” sentiment is stamped in navy blue ink just underneath the line and accented with a single silver brad. I matted the stamped panel on a navy panel, leaving a wide border around it, then layered the panels on a red card base. From start to finish, this was less than a 10 minute card—gotta love that!
For more projects using this color combination, you can check out what the rest of the challenge players have created. Links to their blogs are in the sidebar on the right.
Materials Used:
Let Freedom Ring stamp set (Papertrey Ink); Real Red and Not Quite Navy Classic inks, Real Red and Not Quite Navy cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); white cardstock (Xerox); silver brad (Making Memories)
