Bring on the Cake

I made this simple but sweet birthday card for this week's Hip Hop sketch challenge. I changed the sketch from a standard sized A2 card to a square one to make the sketch work with my idea. It turned out so cute!

I stamped the "bring on the cake" sentiment from Unity's It's Your Day kit in black ink on a white cardstock panel. The letters are colored with pink and yellow Copic markers. I used a white pen to add polka dots to the pink letters for a fun detail.

I used a square of yellow patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket's new DeLovely line to cover most of the cardfront. The sentiment panel is set on a pale pink panel, then attached to the top half of the card. A piece of yellow scalloped velvet trim runs along the bottom of the sentiment panel. A cute cupcake Feltie completes the card.
