Introducing Kind Deeds
It’s time to introduce the May Stamp of the Month from Clear & Simple Stamps. This month’s set is Kind Deeds. This set features a lovely floral silhouette images and a variety of sentiments for many occasions. You can use the discount code CSS0510 to get a $1 discount on your purchase of this set during the month of May. And, along with this stamp set, we’re featuring the Red 4 Copic Trio this month, which includes R81, R83, and R85. This is my go-to combination for a pretty pink! To go with this Trio, we’re introducing a brand new color story, Paint the Town Pink. You’ll be able to get this pretty pink in perfectly matching cardstock, ink, ribbon, and buttons. Be sure to stop by the store and check it all out.
This month’s template is a seed packet. It’s quick and easy to assemble and has lots of uses. You could fill it with seeds—of course—or with potpourri to make a sachet, or with a pretty card, or even use it as a gift card holder. You can find the template here.
Here’s my take on the template. I cut the seed packet from a piece of Kraft Like a Rock Star cardstock. I stamped the floral silhouette and verse images from the Kind Deeds set in Perfect Little Black Dress ink on a vellum panel, then set it aside to let the ink dry.
Once the ink had dried (it didn't take long with the CSS hybrid ink!), I machine stitched the velllum panel to the front of the seed packet. After the panel was stitched in place, I assembled the packet. A pretty green stitched organdy bow is tied around the packet to dress it up a bit.
I set the completed seed packet inside a little gardening gift basket ensemble I created with some items I found at the Target dollar spot. I included a pack of flower seeds, a small shovel, a pair of cute striped gardening gloves, and some scented soap inside the decorative metal tin. With a gift card to the local gardening center tucked inside the seed packet, this would make a lovely gift.
