I stamped Betty on a white oval panel and colored her with Copic markers. I kind of dotted in the sand beneath her feet—not so wild about how that turned out, but I wasn’t redoing the whole card for that . . . It’s hard to see in the photo, but I added some sparkle to Betty’s “wings” and to her sunglasses with a clear Stardust pen. I filled in the sky behind her using light blue ink and a stipple brush.
The summery striped paper behind Betty is machine stitched to an orange panel ( I cut the mat for the image from this panel to save paper, knowing it would be hidden when I layered on the patterned paper). I added a circle-embossed strip, matching the shape of Betty’s fun float, across the card, then attached Betty to the card. The “life’s a beach” sentiment just fit in the bottom right corner of the card.
