We Will Weather the Storm
It's a steam hot Saturday morning here and it's pretty likely there will be a storm or two here today. Hopefully they'll hold off until after Chloe the cutie puppy and I get home from her puppy kindergarten class . . .
I have a simple, sweet card today, made using Mercy's latest sketch challenge. I combined images from Lawn Fawn's Partly Cloudy stamp set with some supplies from Papertrey Ink. The cloud was stamped first in Spring Rain ink, then I added the sun peeking from behind with its sweet smiley face. Once the ink had dried (I used PTI's new formula), I traced around the cloud's edge with a clear Stardust pen for a little sparkle. I stamped the sentiment in darker blue ink, overlapping the edge of the cloud just the tiniest bit.
I used some simple patterned paper from PTI's Pretty Pastels paper pad for the panel on the cardfront. A strip of blue grosgrain ribbon with a button-embellished bow runs down the panel to dress it up a bit. Too sweet--a perfect pick-me-up!
Materials Used:
Partly Cloudy stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Spring Rain, Summer Sunrise, and Enchanted Evening inks, Summer Sunrise cardstock, Spring Rain grosgrain ribbon, Enchanted Evening button, twine (Papertrey Ink); Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); clear Stardust pen (Sakura)
