Birthday Bear

Here's a fun child's birthday card I created based on the sketch for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. This Fred Bear is just too cute!

I stamped Fred on one of MFT's Perfect Panels and colored the image with Copic markers. It's hard to see from the photo, but the candle's flame sparkles with some Yellow Stickles.

I used a red and blue plaid panel for the background and added coordinating red accents. The red circle under the top left edge of the image is embossed with a polka dot pattern. A strip of red grosgrain ribbon runs across the card underneath the image panel. The sentiment is stamped in red, too, to stand out from the rest of the elements.

Materials Used:
Fred Bear Has a Birthday stamp set, Perfect Panel (My Favorite Things); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Real Red Classic ink, Brocade Blue and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Summer Dream matstack (DCWV); circle and petite oval dies (Nestabilities); Polka Dot embossing folder (QuicKutz); Yellow Stickles (Ranger); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); foam tape
