And now…onto today’s Getting “Krafty” DT Challenge! The challenge was to create a project using some of the awesome kraft papers/supplies available, like the Jillibean Soup printed kraft papers or the new Basic Grey Basics Kraft (or Manila) pads – just to name a few!
I used a piece of Jillibean Soup White Macaroni kraft paper for the large panel on my cardfront. The pattern looked kind of elegant to me, so I tried to pair it with some more elegant pieces. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Mint Motif Very Square Sentiments set in Rich Cocoa ink on a Nestabilities Labels 9 panel—the shape’s pretty similar to the shape of the print in the paper’s pattern. The sentiment panel is spritzed with some copper Shimmer Spray for a little sparkle. I stretched a piece of vintage trim with pom poms across the cardfront, then layered on the sentiment using foam dots. A brown velvet pleat with a pearl center completes the card.
Be sure to visit the rest of the IHP DT to see their projects. And, if you’d like to play along, please tag your project ihp0610 in your SCS or PCP galleries so we can find it! Be sure to leave a comment with your blog link if you play along too!
